HARP refinance programThe HARP Refinance Program otherwise known as the Home Affordable Refinance Program. HARP is designed to assist home owners with refinancing their mortgage may owe more then their home is worth. HARP is a government program that was instituted by President Obama to assist responsible homeowners to take advantage of lower mortgage rates and payments.

How HARP Works

HARP refinance program works just like any typical refinance works with the exception being you can owe more then your home is currently valued. HARP allows you to pick a term that meets your needs and chose from our low rates on 5, 7 or 10 year adjustable rate mortgages or 30 year fixed. Its completely up to you.

HARP Qualifications

In order to qualify for the HARP refinance program your loan must be owned my Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac. Also, in order to qualify your loan must have closed on or before May 31, 2009. Last, you must have not been late on your mortgage payments within the last 12 months.

One important thing to remember regarding the Home Affordable Refinance Program, the government has made it possible for you to shop for the best interest rate without being tied or obligated to your current lender.
